Our Delivery Program

Our delivery program is a special service for homebound seniors, seniors living with disabilities, individuals with varying day-to-day abilities including mental health conditions, and those with significant transportation issues.

We will also consider individuals and families with other ongoing extenuating circumstances.

Please call us at 406-862-5863 extension 1004 if you are in need of deliveries.

Deliveries go out weekly on Friday mornings, typically between 10 and noon.

What To Expect

Here at North Valley Food Bank, we welcome everyone!

We believe that everyone deserves the food they need. There is no judgment around how much customers need or should take. We believe that food is not, and should never be, a privilege. We ensure that community members have access to healthy and diverse food. Our goal is to fill the gaps between where your resources end and your plate is full.

- If you're a new customer, please call the food bank and ask for our Program Coordinator to be signed up for delivery. We will send you an intake form and a food preferences worksheet with your first sack of groceries. Please return both forms the following week. Our intake form is intended to collect demographic information that we can use to articulate the needs of our community and apply for necessary funding. All personal information is kept in a confidential database and will not be shared outside of North Valley Food Bank. All volunteers sign a confidentiality agreement to protect your information. The food preferences form will help us customize your bag each week and provide you with some choices. Preference worksheets can only be updated annually unless there is a significant change to your diet.

- There are no eligibility requirements and we do not require documentation, however, it is helpful if you know the first and last name of everyone in your household and their birthdays.

- You will receive food right away.

- We do our best to make the following food items available each week: canned vegetables, canned fruit, grains or pasta, fresh produce, milk, meat, and bread - We receive food through community donations, federal commodities, and purchasing. We do our best to support local farmers and ranchers. You will likely receive local food items throughout the year, especially during the summer months.

- You might receive items with a past expiration date. Expiration dates on food items indicate the timeline for the best taste and texture, not spoilage. We utilize FDA guidance to determine true spoilage dates and check every can and box of food. We will not distribute any items past their spoilage date.
